Drinks Cabinets & Trolleys

Few things set the tone for an evening quite like a proper drinks cabinet, with everything to hand the moment friends arrive. At Loom Loft, our drinks cabinets range from compact bar cabinets to statement highboards and freestanding bars, alongside wine racks that put a good bottle on display. Solid wood, warm metal detailing and a considered finish make each one as much a feature of the room as a place to store.

Choosing between a cabinet, a bar and a wine rack

A closed drinks cabinet is the most versatile option, keeping bottles and glassware behind doors so the piece reads as furniture first. The Atticus and Micah designs work this way, and the Inspiration highboard takes it taller for a more commanding presence in a dining room or snug.

A freestanding bar is the more sociable choice, designed to be used rather than tidied away, with a surface at standing height for pouring and serving. Wine racks are the lightest-touch option of all: the Rescate leaning and display racks hold bottles in view without taking up meaningful floor space, which makes them a good fit for a smaller room or an alcove.

Materials that suit an evening room

The materials here lean towards warmth and a bit of drama, which suits a piece that comes into its own after dark. The Orwell range pairs parquet tops in solid teak with a dark metal frame, while the Aron range sets a rich walnut finish against antique brass trim. Rescate brings a more rustic, eclectic character for a relaxed room.

Because a drinks cabinet often sits alongside dining furniture, it's worth seeing it in context. Our dining room ideas show how a bar or cabinet fits into a finished scheme, and if you'd prefer glassware on display there's display cabinets. For a sideboard with integrated bottle storage instead, sideboards has designs with built-in wine racks, and furniture by collection shows which ranges coordinate.
